Thinking to be a Cryer
Hi I am thinking of making a cryer and don't know what primary profession I should make him. I am planning to do Urgoz's Warren, and most of the elite areas. Should I make a Me/E, Me/A, Me/N or what? I seen many cryer builds on pvxwiki and don't know what would be best to use. Could someone recommend me a good primary profession and a secondary profession?
Thanks!!!! |

Just go Mesmer primary so that you can switch your secondary based on what your group needs/what area you're doing?

Which secondary would you recommend to begin with though?

Considering that you'll need to ascend before you reach any of the area's you'd be participating in groups with the secondary you chose doesn't overly matter as you'll have already ascended by the time you reach the area you plan to do.
I personally cose /E as my Mesmers Secondary so that I could use GoLE to help with energy management as I got used to it. |

I second the AP Mes. I run that with Discordway, and other than some dungeons, I can go pretty much anywhere I want with little if any trouble.

No but really, how do you expect to have decent damage output, other than every 12 seconds after CoP recharge. Imo not viable. |

Me/mo or Mo/me is pretty much the best you can get. Max out the smiting and bring arcane mimicry as well as arcane echo and probably auspicious incantation for energy during the arcane echo. That just helps incase not using a bip or to get initial casts off.
Also, think everyone should consider ice imps instead of vanguard sins since they provide a snare and aoe damage while surviving to cast multiple times. |

however ,if the goal is to have more CoP whammage, then I guess Glyph of swiftness can be used. |

we aren't talking exclusively about EtherRenewal, but in case of Ether Renewal, unless it has some synergy like Infuse Spamming or like Doa Ether Cryer team builds with symbiosys, dedicating a elite slot just for e-management of a cryer build is probably a waste.
To Op : Mesmer is a good choice since you can call hexes like VoR with more attribute points, you can add E-Surge to the spike aswell. having Mo as secondary of primary allows you to use RoJ aswell. |

Get other party members to take a variety of summons. But if I have to choose just one, I'll still take the assassin - invaluable for taking the initial aggro and making a mob waste its first round of skills. Great for quickly taking down healers too - apply any hex/condition, send in the assassin... target is knocked down (ie. interrupted)... and while its down, the assassin's unblockable damage plus the party's damage turns it into a smear on the ground. |
